19th Century Knobkerry An unusual 19th century knobkerry. The knobkerry shows significant age and is made of a tropical fruit wood which is light in colour. The wood is very hard and has a rich patina. 58cm long with the head diameter 7cm. Interesting item.

Chicom SKS Chest Rig / Bandolier A Chinese ’Chicom’ SKS chest rig / bandolier. The 10 pouch bandolier was originally designed for holding 7.62x39mm stripper clips for the SKS rifle. These bandoliers were used during the early part of the Vietnam war by the north Vietnamese. They were later adopted by the Soviets during the Afghan war for carrying the VOG 40mm rifle grenades for the GP25 under barrel grenade launcher. Dated for 1978 and in good condition.

Russian AK74 Sling Original Russian army tan coloured AK74 rifle sling. The fully adjustable slings have a single hook and are dated for 1991 (the year the Soviet Union collapsed). Good unused condition.
Russian Army Digital Desert Cap An original Russian army desert / tropical combat cap in digi / EMR pattern. Size 55 and with adjustable velcro strap. Chin strap secured with Armed Forces of the Russian Federation buttons. Very good condition.
Russian Army RD 54 VSR98 A original Russian army RD 54 assault backpack in VSR98 pattern camouflage. Originally designed in 1954 for use with the VDV (Russian airborne forces), the backpack is still in active use today. The pack can be worn in 2 positions ‘Jump’ and ‘Patrol’. In the jump position it is worn much lower on the back to accommodate a parachute. The wire framed pack consists of a main compartment and 2 side compartments. The RD54 packs come with a double AK74 magazine pouch and a double grenade pouch. The pouch on the right shoulder is for the MPL-50 shovel when the pack is worn in ‘jump’ position. The pack is dated for 2005 with the inside flap of the main compartment showing the Russian OTK military acceptance stamp. The pack and pouches are in good used condition with no holes or rips. Good example.
Russian Army VSR 93 Winter Jacket 52-3 A very good example of a Russian Army VSR 93 winter coat. The VSR 93 camouflage pattern was first introduced in 1991 to units such as the VDV and by 1994 was issued universally. The VSR 93 pattern (also known as Barvikha) saw use in the 1st and 2nd Chechen wars. The thick coat has a faux fur collar which reveals a hidden hood when raised. The coat is fastened with buttons and the pockets are secured with velcro, there is also an internal chest pocket. The coat is in excellent condition and is a Russian size 52-3, which is a large regular size. Height: 5ft 7” - 5ft 9” Chest: 41” - 43”
Russian Army VSR 98 Summer Tunic 56-4 Russian Army VSR 98 pattern summer tunic. The VSR 98 pattern camouflage was adopted by the Russian Army in 1998 and was issued throughout the 2nd Chechen War. This pattern was replaced in 2009 with the current Russian EMR / digi flora camouflage. The tunic has 4 front pockets and 2 sleeve pockets, along with an internal chest pocket. The armpits have ventilation holes and the elbows are reinforced. The tunic was manufactured in 2004 and is a size 56-4, which is an X large regular size. Chest: 44” The tunic is in good condition and shows minor signs of storage. Good example.

The VSR 98 pattern camouflage was adopted by the Russian Army in 1998 and was issued throughout the 2nd Chechen War. This pattern was replaced in 2009 with the current Russian EMR / digi flora camouflage. The tunic has 4 front pockets and 2 sleeve pockets, along with an internal chest pocket. The armpits have ventilation holes and the elbows are reinforced. The trousers have a buttoned fly, reinforced knee and seat area along with 2 waist pockets. The uniform was manufactured in 2007 and is a size 50-4, which is a medium regular size. Height: 5 ft 7” - 5 ft 9” Chest: 39” Waist: 32” Both the tunic and trousers are unissued and still have factory labels stitched on them. Good complete uniform.

Russian Type 2 Lifchik Chest Rig An original Russian Type 2 Lifchik chest rig. The Lifchik (meaning bra in Russian) chest rigs were developed and manufactured in the 1980’s and 90’s by the Russian military after realising the need for a combat rig during the Soviet Afghan war. The iconic Lifchik chest rigs were widely used throughout both of the Russian Chechen wars. The chest rig has 3 main pockets which can hold up to six (2 per pocket) AK-74 magazines. There are also 4 secondary pockets which can hold up to 4 F1 or RGD-5 hand grenades. It also has two small compartments for holding 2 RSP-30 flares. The pouches are secured with leather tabs and brass studs. The inside of all the pockets has a white soft fabric for ease of inserting magazines or grenades. This example is dated for 1988 and is in good used condition with a minor field repair on one of the magazine pouches. The previous owner has drawn a Soviet star onto the flap of the centre magazine pouch. Good example of a very uncommon item.
Soviet Afghan War AK74 Magazine Pouch A Soviet Russian AK74 magazine pouch. The thick canvas pouch can hold 4 magazines and an oiler. These were used throughout the Afghan war by Russian soldiers, either worn on the belt or field modified into a chest rig using rifle slings. Good condition.
Soviet Afghan War M69 Tunic An original Soviet Russian Afghan war tunic with Y harness and period belt with brass hammer and sickle buckle. The M69 tunic is complete with all buttons and is in good condition. The M69 uniform was worn for the most part of the war until the roll out of the later M88. The tunic is a Soviet size 54-4, which is a UK large with regular height. Chest: 43” Both the belt and Y harness are in good used condition. *****Please note the Telnyashka is not included*****
Soviet Afghan War Panamka An original Soviet Russian Afghan War Panamka hat. The Panamka was the standard tropical headwear of the Soviet Russian army. The Panamka was popular during the Soviet Afghan War in the 1980s, where it was worn with the Afghanka uniform. The hat is double lined and has multiple ventilation holes which suits the Afghan extreme hot day temperatures in the summer and its equally bitter cold nights in the winter months. Original surplus item, size 58 and 1988 dated.
Soviet Afghan War Plastic Canteen A Soviet Afghan war Russian soldiers plastic canteen. The tropical plastic canteen / water bottles were introduced in the early 1980’s as the Afghan war showed the need for larger size water bottles for its soldiers in the harsh hot environment. The soft white plastic bottles hold 1.5 litres and have a removable plastic cup. This early version has the lid attached to the bottle with a metal chain with the later version using a plastic collar. This example is in good used condition and its pouch is dated for 1987.

Soviet Russian SVD Dragunov Magazine Pouch A scarce Soviet Russian SVD Dragunov magazine pouch. The heavy canvas pouch holds four 7.62 x 54mm round magazines and a larger inside pocket for the PSO-1 rifle scope and cleaning tools. The pouch shows the Russian OTK military acceptance stamp. The rear of the pouch has belt loops. All leather tabs and studs are present and in full working order. These magazine pouches saw service in the Soviet Afghan War, both Chechen wars and even as recent as the current Ukraine War. Very good condition. *****Magazines For Display Purposes Only*****

The rig has 7 pouches, 3 for magazines and 4 for grenades along with adjustable shoulder straps and a tied waist cord. These chest rigs saw service in Vietnam and later in the Soviet Afghan War, being adopted by Russian soldiers for ease of use and customisation. This caused the Soviet Union to develop and manufacture its own version, known as the First Pattern Lifchik. This example is in good used condition with no damage.

Victorian Military Trophy Tankard A heavy Victorian pewter with glass bottom loving cup / tankard. The trophy tankard is dated for 1870 and was awarded to a ‘Corporal I. Burton’ of the West London Rifles as winner of the Graham Challenge Cup. Overall good condition with no dents and only a couple of light scuffs. The tankard stands a touch over 6” tall and width (including handles) is 7.5” wide.
Vietnam War AK47 Chest Rig An uncommon Vietnamese chest rig. Made specifically for the AK47 or Type 56 assault rifles. Similar to the Chinese type 56 chest rigs, this example is made of a thinner material and has 5 instead of the regular 7 pouches. Pieces like this were often produced at a local level or homemade. The pouch configuration is 3 x magazine and 2 x grenade with adjustable shoulder straps and tie cord. The chest rig shows some age but is still functional.

WW1 Field Surgeons Steriliser A WW1 field / trench surgeons paraffin steriliser. The chrome plated steriliser is in good condition and with original wick. Used for the sterilisation of scalpels and other medical instruments in field hospitals. When closed, 8.5 cm long by 5cm wide and 2cm deep.
WW1 New Zealand Sweetheart Brooch A WW1 New Zealand collar badge converted to a sweetheart brooch. The bronze badge has a hook and pin closure to its rear. 3cm high by 2.3cm wide.
WW1 Trench Art Lighter A very interesting WW1 trench art lighter made from a Lee Enfield oil bottle. The base of the lighter is the oil bottle lid and can be unscrewed to fill with petrol. The wick is protected by a small screw cap. Fully working, just requires fuel. 3” tall.
WW2 British 1941 Whistle A WW2 British military whistle. The whistle is marked \"C.W.S.1941\" and has the military broad arrow. Made by the Co-operative Wholesale Society. This pattern often associated with Home Guard units.
WW2 Era British ARP Fire Axe A WW2 era British ARP fire axe (Arpax). The insulated handle is encased in rubber which provided protection if the axe severed an electric cable. The handle has moulded into it \'TESTED 20,000 VOLTS\' on one side and ‘No 125’ on its reverse. The axe head shows signs of use and is stamped ‘WG PT’. These were used by the Air Raid Precaution (ARP) officers and the National Fire Service (NFS) during the blitz of world war 2. Complete with original black webbing pouch and leather belt. The underside of the belt buckle is stamped ‘DQQ’. The axe shows it’s had a life, and is in good solid usable condition. *****UK POSTAGE ONLY*****
WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Mess Tin A good complete WW2 Japanese Army mess / rice cooker set. The aluminium set comprises of the main mess tin, small tray insert and lid. The main container has its metal carry handle. The front of the rice cooker has a metal loop for attaching to the army backpack. Most of the original khaki paint is visible on the lid and body while the base is blackened from field use. A good complete example in field used condition.
WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Officers Mess Tin A WW2 Japanese Army Officers ‘Hango’ or mess / rice cooker set. The aluminium set comprises of the main mess tin, small tray insert and lid. This is a later war example without the metal carry handle. The set was manufactured by the Nigiriya metal company, Japan. This is one of the best condition examples I’ve come across, almost all of the original khaki paint is present on the lid and the body. The set measures 21 cm long by 7 cm wide and 8 cm tall. A very good complete example with no holes, dents or damage.
WW2 Japanese China Incident Medal A Japanese WW2 period China incident medal. The 30mm bronze medal was issued to Japanese soldiers that served in the Japanese 1937 to 1945 war with China. The medal was created in 1939 and abolished after the war in 1946. The detailing on the medal is superb with the bar reading ‘Military Service Medal’. The rear of the medal has the traditional Japanese hook and eye fixing. The medal is complete with original ribbon and box.
WW2 US Army Demobilisation Garrison Cap A WW2 US Army demobilisation garrison cap. The cap is unpiped and has a cloth ‘Ruptured Duck’ badge. The ruptured duck is the US armed forces symbol of an honourable discharge from active service. The garrison cap was manufactured by ‘Eagle Uniforms Inc’ from New York and has a rayon lining and is a size 6 3/4. Good quality piece.
