Bronze Sculpture A Bronze Sculpture of an Imperial German Standard Bearer this was a presentation piece to " Oberst Barth "103rd Regt dated 1900-1902 there is a brass plaque on the rear of the base with all the names of his fellow officers inscribed. This Bronze was produced by Gussv. Pirner & Franz Dresden = Lobtau. This was purchased from the" Shell Hole "Ypres many years ago and used to sit over the fireplace in the bar area.

Military Cross and Pair: Military Cross GV, British war and victory medals to Captain Herbert Massingberd Pentreath, MRCS, LRCP, Royal Army Medical Corps TF. Qualifying as a Doctor of Medicine in 1899 he was commissioned in October 1914 and proceeded to France in February 1917. Severely injured in May 1917 when he was crushed by a lorry overturning, he returned to France in October 1917 and served with 255 Tunneling Company. Awarded the MC in 1918 he later served in North Russia, Egypt and Turkey. He died in Weston Super Mare, Somerset in 1952 aged 81 years. Military Cross GV Unnamed as awarded. British War and Victory Medals Capt H M Pentreath. With a folder of research. Copy medal index card records the award of the British war & victory medals only.

Military Medal M.M. Only to SPR J. McLeod 252 T/COY R.E. M.M. Off: Named 137538 SJT. J. McLeod 252/CO. R.E. It is assumed as his M.M. was in Gazette 1st Sept 1916 that the award was for mining operation at the start of the Somme offensive 1st July 1916. Further research required to Tunneling Records.

New Zealand Tunnelling Company A Scarce War and Victory to New Zealand Tunneller 37460 SJT G .R. Walsh N.Z.E.F. He was born in Auckland on the 8th March 1882 and his Occupation was a Miner. His father came from Galway Ireland and his Mother was a New Zealander. He Embarked for France on the 22nd June 1917 and was encamped at Etaples. The New Zealand Tunnellers were involved in operations mostly in and around Arras. His Service records are included.
