Africa Corps Army Pith Helmet Shields Army AK Pith Helmet shield insignia consisting of two die stamped/cast shields. The Heers (Army) Eagle shield is die stamped in relief and silver plated on a painted black field. The reverse has three soldered pins. There are no markings. The National colors shield is die cast also on a silvered field with the three sections top one painted black and the bottom painted red with the center in the silver background color. It is marked on the reverse in relief ‘J.F.S with 42 underneath. It has three inserted pins. Both are in unused condition. They just show age.

Maker is Wernstein in Jena and is so marked as are the letters and code numbers D R G M 35269 on the reverse. Badge has slight discoloration to the top of the letters DR on front otherwise all the bronze plating is intact. Condition is excellent except as noted.

KdF Kraft durch Freude (Strength thru Joy) Agfa Camera w/case KdF Agfa box type camera with carrying case. A black imitation leatherette box camera (similar to our \"Kodak Brownie\") The property of the KdF organization which was under the DAF (Labor Front) This organization became the largest Nazi organization and sponsored plays, vacations, cruises (MS Robert Ley and the MS Wilhelm Gustloff were the cruise ships) and all sorts of vacation activities. In 1938 it had 10.3 million members and was the sponsor of the KdF wagen, better known as the \"Volkswagen\" This camera has the KdF mobile sun/gear wheel swastika symbol imprinted on the side of the camera along with the Motto \"KraftdurchFreude\" with \"N.S. Gemeinschaft\" (National Socialist Association) above it. I can only guess it was a loaner/rental for the vacationing members. It also has a retailers tag from a sport shop in Vienna. It has a leatherette carry strap on top embossed with the \"Agfa\" logo. The carry case is brown leather with a felt lining. The carry case is in good condition except one end of the carry strap is broken. The camera is in excellent shape and functions its just dusty and shows its age.

Similar to the edelweis badge worn by Gebirgsjager troops on their Bergmutze.
