Private James Taylor landed at St. Nazaire, France with 1st Battalion, on 8th September 1914. He was reported as missing or wounded in a newspaper dated 22nd November 1914 and as being interned at Stellin Prisoner of War camp in a later paper. Later in the war he was repatriated and discharged owing to wounds. He was entitled to a S.W.B. Comes with copies of newspaper pages listing him.

J. Robinson S. Lan. R.) Private John Robinson 7th Battalion South Lancs was born in Runcorn, Cheshire and enlisted at Liverpool on 5 September 1914. He entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 18 July 1915, landing at Boulogne. The battalion first saw action at Pietre, a diversionary action in support of the Battle of Loos. Sadly, Private Robiinson was killed in action on 17 November 1915 and is remembered at Brown's Road Military Cemetery, Festubert. With copied medal index card, CWGC details and 18 pages of records.

Sadly, he was killed in action on the 19 November 1916, aged 26 and is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. He was survived by his parents Edwin and Sarah Parker of Pitt Cottage, Mapledurham, Reading.
